November Nature Gathering
November Message: Inner Abundance
Nov. 16, 2025
OPENING CIRCLE:
✧ We enjoyed our sixth gathering in nature this past weekend, coming together for the second time in Gibbs Lake Park. We opened the circle with a reading to ground us in the importance of cultivating inner abundance. The reading was from the chapter titled “Abundance” from The Wild Rhythms by Kat Villain. The book is written from the perspective of Mother Earth, as if the Earth herself were speaking directly to us.
Here is an excerpt from the reading:
“The palpable scar that scarcity has drilled upon my soils has interfered with my ability to give to my beautiful children.
It is this mistruth of scarcity that has been perpetuated for thousands of years, creating immeasurable harm.
Scarcity has chiseled away at my mountains, poisoned my waters, polluted my soils, and perpetuated suffering.
Scarcity has disrupted our relationship with each other.
Please let go of the belief of scarcity so I can give as freely as I once did.
There is enough.
Just as suffering is the residue of scarcity, liberation is a byproduct of abundance.
When you till the soils of self and transform a space devoid of life into a garden, the real nature of reality sprouts through the cracks of existence.
The resiliency of abundance manifests.”

SPIRITUAL PRACTICE:
✧ Mindful Walking: Nature as a Mirror
We set out on silent solo walks in the park with the intention of receiving a message from the natural world. We set out to notice the forms and scenes that most captivated us - seeing through the lens of the heart to find an outer match in nature to what abundance feels like inside. We thanked the Earth and Spirit for guiding us to receive this message.
We each received one form or scene that matched our intention - we snapped a photo, and made our way back to our meeting spot. We then broke into small groups to share about our experiences, answering the questions:
• What did you receive from nature? How does the form or scene mirror the feeling of abundance within you?
CLOSING CIRCLE:
We closed the gathering with time to share our reflections in the large group, with an invitation for all to share what resonated with them.
✧ We stamped our ancient hearts on the canvas to preserve the memory of all who gathered with us on this day.
COMMUNITY BLESSING:
✧ The heart knows. We go into the heart to remember, we go together, and we belong.
